On the 13th of April 2015, De-LAB and the Yunus Social Business Centre University of Florence and De-LAB signed a partnership agreement to work together on the topic of inclusive business from a gender perspective.
The Yunus Social Business Centre University of Florence is the only centre in Europe accredited as a Yunus Social Business Centre by Prof. Muhammad Yunus Nobel peace prize laureate and founder of Grameen Bank. The centre brings to the partnership its knowledge on Social Business, Social Enterprise and development processes in less developed countries.
De-LAB is the only centre in Italy accredited as a BOP Lab within the BOP Global Network. De-LAB works with Italian companies developing innovative business models and applied research on Inclusive Business issues and Social Innovation. De-LAB brings to the partnership its knowledge on product/process innovation, co-creation dynamics and profit4development impacts.
This agreement will open the opportunity to Italian and European companies, NGOs, local authorities and international organizations to receive support by the two organizations in the forms of applied research, training and field testing of business solutions that are inclusive for disadvantaged women, which are those who bear most of the consequences of social exclusion at a global level.
